Illness Policy
- Children must be fever-free for 24 hours before returning
- Vomiting or diarrhea requires 24-hour absence
- We will call parents if a child becomes ill during the day
- Please notify us if your child has a communicable illness
Medication Policy
- Prescription medications require written authorization
- All medications must be in original labeled containers
- Over-the-counter medications require written parent consent
- Staff will document all medication administration
Immunization Requirements
- All children must have up-to-date immunizations per NC requirements
- Immunization records must be on file before the first day
- Medical exemptions require documentation from a physician
- Records must be updated as new vaccines are administered
Emergency Procedures
- All staff are CPR and First Aid certified
- Emergency contacts must be reachable at all times
- We conduct regular fire and emergency drills
- Parents are notified immediately of any emergency
